HIRING FIREFIGHTERS

 

The East Lake Special Fire Control District is currently hiring a total of six Firefighter Paramedic or Firefighter EMT positions to facilitate the new 6-week Kelly Day schedule (2023-2026 CBA). 

Application and Testing services will be done through National Testing Network, Inc. (NTN). To fill out an application and schedule a test, go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, select Firefighter and under Florida select East Lake Special Fire Control District.

Candidates must have both FireTEAM and a valid CPAT for these positions. In lieu of a valid CPAT, candidates who are actively employed as a firefighter in the State of Florida are eligible to apply. Candidates must fill out a PHQ to be considered. To complete an application and schedule a test, go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, select Firefighter, and under Florida, select Sign up for the East Lake Special Fire Control District.

All testing must be completed and submitted through NTN by August 8, 2024 .

  • Starting salary for Firefighter Paramedic on October 1, 2024, of $63,427.77 with annual step increases and a 48/96 work schedule.

Employees shall obtain certification as a Florida State Certified Paramedic and function as a Pinellas County Certified Paramedic if not already certified within forty-eight (48) months from the date of hire. The employee is responsible for locating, attending, and completing the required coursework.
